Tidbits... These are traditional Carnevale sweets. For a treat even more tempting they can be dipped in melted chocolate or zabaione.
- Sift flour with sugar.
- Make a mound and mix eggs, cubed softened butter, and vanilla and mix well with hands. Add Marsala and continue until mixture is smooth and moist. Add 1 or 2 T Marsala if too dry.
- Roll out very thin and cut in rectangles.
- Cut 3 slits in center of each and fry a few a a time in hot oil.
- Remove and drain on paper toweling. Put on plate and sprinkle liberally with powdered sugar.
